Uto Ughi and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra - during years of fruitful co-operation and in joint appearances in Riva del Garda, Milano, Torino, Roma and Ravello a remarkable artistic and personal relationship has developed between the Italian star violinist Uto Ughi and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. At the invitation of the orchestra, the maestro performed Spohr's Violin Concerto No. 8 in a minor, Op. 47, the "Gesangsszenen", at the Wiener Konzerthaus in March, 2010.
Souvenirs for Philippe and Richard - our gift to Philippe Entremont on his 75th birthday was simultaneously conceived as a souvenir for Richard Danielpour of his visit to Vienna for the premiere of his “Souvenirs”. Richard wrote the five-movement “International Suite for Citizens of the World” especially for this celebration – a commission by the Kravis Center, West Palm Beach, Florida, for Philippe and his Vienna Chamber Orchestra.
